At Ark, we provide 1-to-1 ABA therapy and counselling for children, youths, and adults, tailored to each individual’s developmental and emotional needs. While ABA builds essential life skills, counselling strengthens emotional regulation, resilience, self-awareness, and mental well-being.
For many individuals with autism and developmental differences, challenges extend beyond behaviour. Counselling offers a safe space to process emotions, develop coping strategies, and build confidence. By integrating behavioural science with emotional support, we deliver intervention that is not just skill-focused but truly holistic and person-centred.
Our programmes are grounded in the science of learning and behaviour, guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We systematically reinforce positive behaviours, reduce barriers to learning, and adapt strategies to each individual.
We target behaviour and emotional regulation, language & communication, play, social development, and self-help skills, equipping individuals with practical, real-world abilities for school, work, and community life. Our goal is independence, meaningful relationships, and confident participation in everyday settings.
ABA is one of the most researched and evidence-based interventions for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and is also effective for ADHD, GDD, and other developmental needs. Decades of research demonstrate its effectiveness in improving communication, learning readiness, and social functioning.
Recognised internationally, including by the U.S. Surgeon General and widely regarded in Singapore and by Ministry of Health as a gold standard approach, ABA works because it is structured, measurable, individualised, and data-driven.
Some myths about ABA stem from outdated practices or poor implementation. ABA is a specialised science, and its effectiveness depends on the qualifications and supervision of the provider. When delivered by undertrained practitioners, programmes may appear rigid or overly structured. In reality, the issue is not ABA itself but the lack of proper expertise and ethical oversight.
At Ark, all programmes are supervised by an accredited Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (USA), ensuring highest standards of ethical and evidence-based practice. We combine structured teaching with Natural Environment Teaching (NET), embedding learning within play, daily routines, and meaningful social interactions. When supervised by qualified professionals and delivered through naturalistic, real-life teaching strategies, ABA becomes practical, respectful, and deeply empowering, building communication, regulation, and daily living skills that truly matter for lifelong independence.
