ARK, started out as a social enterprise Ark Centre Pte Ltd in 2018 and is now a non-profit organisation Ark Social Ltd. ARK believes that evidence-based intervention should be made available to individuals with autism, learning and developmental deficits. We focus on providing evidence-based social skills groups for individuals with autism. We provide consultation and recommend solutions for families who are facing challenges pertaining to autism and special needs. We support and empower caregivers so that they can maximize their children's potential and create positive impact in their homes.
We offer a community through ARK HANGOUT, a diverse group encompassing both neurotypical individuals and individuals with autism. We organise curated events for families living with autism to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters engagement and and a sense of belonging for all participants. All these are anchored by the Ark team, our volunteers and their families (children, youths & adults).
Our Collaborations
We collaborate with organizations to form inclusive communities through equipping their staff and volunteers to be effective in helping individuals with diverse learning needs. One such organisation is the Girls' Brigade Singapore, we designed online modules on "Creating an Inclusive Community" and provided tools to help 200 officers reach out effectively to children with autism and ADHD within the GB community. (2023-current)
We are honored to collaborate with SG Enable to organise caregivers' activities supported by Mediacorp Enable Fund (2022 - 2023).
We are honored to be selected for the "Leap for Good" (2018-2020) by raiSE (Singapore Centre of Social Enterprise) through our online caregivers' training, an initiative for social enterpreneurs to support caregivers by addressing emerging social needs in Singapore.
We are proud to be in collaboration with SG Enable and Toteboard to support our ABCD Hangout program (2024-2026) aimed at provided curated community-based recreational activities such as sports and arts lessons for persons with autism (children, youths, adults) and their families.
